Why Talous Treasures...?

Last May, Jason Heki and I were married and I became a Heki. We both knew that Heki is Finnish (Jason’s nickname in college on the Ultimate Frisbee field was “Finnish Strong.”) But, we later discovered that our surname is Finnish form of Henry, which means “home ruler.”

“Home” or “household” in Finnish is talous. Talous also means economy, capturing the Greek origins of the word οἰκονόμος ("one who manages a household").
